Paul Cater is a graduate of London University, with post-graduate chemical engineering, and is an Associate of King’s College, London.
After graduation, he worked for a number of years in chemical engineering consulting and contracting in London and Belgium, before spending 2 years at London Business School on the Masters Programme (MBA).
Thereafter he worked for four leading international institutions, principally in London but also in Paris – Williams & Glyn’s Bank (now part of the Royal Bank of Scotland), The Royal Trust Company of Canada (now part of RBC Financial Group – The Royal Bank of Canada), Banque Paribas (now BNP Paribas) and the Austrian GiroCredit (now Erste Bank). He held positions as both International Director and Director of Corporate Finance.
Ten years ago he established Dumont Investments as an arranger of M&A transactions, focusing on small and medium sized companies, particularly those in family ownership.
